Stalemates and falling gas prices.

This stalemate in capital hill pisses me off. This is of course in regards to the the Auto 25 Billion bail out. People cant make up their mind on whether or not they should give them money from the finical bailout or make a new one for them all together. This is bullshit so while things get worse people just sit there arguing back in forth. We need someone to step up compromise and get things moving again.

Besides that the only thing i want to mention is gas prices. Finaly falling below 2 dollars here in GA which is awesome. Some people in capital hill wanted to tax the gas prices to keep them high so people dont change their mind about investing in alternate energy solutions. I think that is some bullshit. I support green energy and we need mroe research done. No matter how low the gas price goes. And its the law makers jobs to get it done no matter the gas price.

I did not agree with bailing out the financial institutions but I do agree with helping the auto industry. One in 10 jobs in America are tied to that industry.

Can we afford to pay unemployment, food stamps and welfare for the millions and their families that will lose jobs if the auto manufacturers fail?

Can we afford to lose the one true manufacturing niche we still have in America? If we lose the auto makers, like we did the steel industry and others...what we will be left with? What will we make?

We can bail them out and demand they go green, or at least hybrids..stop making huge gas guzzlers with no mpg that amounts to anything and a host of other demands in exchange for our hard-earned dollars. It's a chance to get them out of that whore's bed they lie in with the oil industry.

And that is a good thing isn't it? ;)

Thank you for giving your thoughts at my place, your always welcome.

Thanks for your reply. And i find the chats on your site intriguing and stimulating. I am not saying i am against helping the automotive companies. I am against doing nothing while the situation worsens. I agree helping them is necessary or else the situation will get worse. And i defiantly have to agree with you on getting them out of "the whores bed" they lie in with oil. We need to be as independent as possible from foreign influences.
